The Beginning of an Idea
When we started back in 1993 in Sarasota, Florida, our mission was to make sustainable living accessible to everyone.
The creation of the Florida House Learning Center inspired us to bridge the gap between understanding and applying sustainable living principles.
Soon, we became the go-to distribution source for green construction materials, as well as a consultation center for building owners, architects, developers, and contractors.
We also guide our clients to choose appropriate products, services, and local contractors.
Eco-$mart stands for Ecologically Sound and Economically Smart (that is why the S is a “$”). What does that mean? It means we care about the environment and therefore our products and services revolve around making sustainable and “green” living more accessible, while making smart decisions for home and building owners’ bottom lines.
