	Removing Header and Footer from Printed Pages

For Netscape
Netscape makes this setting very easy. From the "File" menu in your Browser, click "Page Setup". The Page Setup Dialog Box will open. Select the "Margins & Header/Footer" Tab. In the Headers & Footers Area, change all of the Drop-down Menus to "Blank". Click "OK". Whatever Header and Footer Settings you set in Page Setup will remain as default. If you wish to include Printer Headers and Footers in future printing, you must reset these.

For Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer makes removing the Headers and Footers easy as well. Restoring them to their default setting is a bit more difficult.

Removing - From the "File" menu in your Browser, click "Page Setup". The Page Setup Dialog Box will open. In the Headers and Footers area, remove all text in both Header and Footer Fields, leaving them blank. Click "OK". Whatever Header and Footer Settings you set in Page Setup will remain as default. If you wish to include Printer Headers and Footers in future printing, you must restore the text in these fields.

Restoring - From the "File" menu in your Browser, click "Page Setup". The Page Setup Dialog Box will open. Here is where it can get a little tricky. IE uses a string of text and symbols to set the header and footer. You must Type or Copy and Paste the string into the Header and Footer Fields in Page Setup to restore the Printer Header and Footer. Below is a table with the Default strings, optional symbols, and their meanings:

&w&bPage &p of &P	Default Header - Prints Page Title on the top left and Page of Total Pages on the top right.
&u&b&d	Default Footer - Prints URL on the bottom left and the date on the bottom right
&w	Web page title
&u	Page address (URL)
&d	Date in short format
&D	Date in long format
&t	Time in short format
T&	Time in 24-hour format
&p	Current page number
&P	Total number of pages
&b	Right-aligned text (following &b)
&b&b	Centered text (between &b&b)
&&	A single ampersand (&)
