Retrofit Collectors Mounting Tanks
Retrofit for existing water heating systems.   A complete solar pump solution, with everything you need to connect solar collectors to your existing storage tank, integrates two high-efficiency circulator pumps, a brazed plate counterflow heat exchanger and electronic controller. Standard oil, gas, electric or indirect hot water tanks can be integrated with solar collectors using this compact self contained unit. The unit can be purchased to run either drainback or glycol systems. With this system, it is easy and cost effective to include a solar hot water system in new or retrofit applications.

Flush mount hardware kits allows a nice clean installation on a pitched roof. Kit includes 4 U channel feet with butyl, 8 stainless steel lag bolts and washers, and 4 clip assemblies.
Silver Solar Collector Rack Mount Adjustable rack mount hardware mounts a collector array at the perfect tilt on a flat roof or on a ground mount.

Hardware for tile roofs and special configurations also available upon request.

Standard Water Heating Tanks Standard Water Heaters   Any standard water heater can become a solar storage tank with our solar water heating retrofit package. The image to the left shows standard water heaters retrofitted to become solar water heating systems ready for connection to the solar collector.
Commercial Hot Water Tanks Commercial Hot Water Tanks   We offer high capacity solar hot water tanks, pressurized or atmospheric, for commercial use. Active solar water heating systems can be designed to serve your specific application. Contact us to see how cost engineering your project can save money and improve efficiency.
Drain Back Tank Drain-back Tanks   The Solar Water Heating Retrofit can also be installed on a drain-back or glycol system tank. Optimum drain-back tanks have 4 ports with built in solar dip tubes and sensor wire. These tanks are also available with a heat exchanger coil wrapped around the interior wall of the tank. Available in 10 and 20 gallon capacity.
Expansion Tanks Expansion Tanks   The expansion of heated fluids in a closed system can result in unsafe pressure inside the storage tank. Water heater manufacturers and plumbing codes require the installation of an expansion control device if a backflow preventor, pressure reducing valve or check valve is installed in the domestic supply line. Our expansion tank is NSF 61 approved for that purpose. A polypropylene liner resists corrosion and ensures long life.
